The Internet seems to be inundated by straight Masters and Mistresses, but rarely have I come across gay lads engaging in BDSM, at least not until I hit upon Luke's Lair.
The featured Master on LukesLair might not strike you as particularly intimidating, but I should never begin a review judging a book by its cover, as they say. I had hoped to discover more information about Luke, but there wasn't a biography and his blog was filled with update information rather than more personal things about his approach to domination, for example.
Still, there are a few bonuses. Stories seem exclusive to the site and revolve around D/s, and there are three "how to" videos where you can learn how to use a pinwheel, store rope and do safe wrist ties.
The site has a decent amount of content at the moment. There are 90 sets of photos and 45 movies. While pictures are updated every five days, you'll have to wait nearly two weeks for a video. Since there weren't a lot of movies there didn't seem to be a need to create categories for that gallery. However, I was happy that the photos were organized by type of BDSM play like bondage, cock and balls, rope, shaving, stripping and ass play.
There are around 40 pictures in a set, and they're amateur snapshots with a homemade quality to them. They didn't appear to be posed. One set seemed to document the process of a bondage scene, while another followed the action of a cock and ball torture session. I thought the role play category might have some cool uniform scenarios, but the gear most often worn included latex and leather and not uniforms per se.
Since I didn't feel all that excited about the photos, I was eager to get to the Windows Media films. Sadly, the action is amateurish and the video quality is average. There wasn't much in the way of domination. Luke jerking off a guy and then saying, "Right, then, I'm going to put you on the bench and fuck you," didn't really strike me as overly Masterly. Still he is the top and his personal style is one of few words. There are Flash streams, but you can also save the 10-minute films, although there are only clip options and no full-length episode downloads.
The educational aspect of the site made me think that Luke's Lair is intended to be for those on the vanilla side of the fence who want to cross over into an edgier sexual world. The action in the films seemed to emphasize the amateur or beginner aspect of BDSM, in my opinion, since I never really felt that Luke was experienced enough to fully command a scene like I've seen Masters do on other BDSM sites.
