Every once in awhile, you read something that is so obviously faked but it’s still so amusing. Even if you know it can’t be real other people may seem to treat it like the genuine article. It spreads across the internet like wildfire but if you just check out a few of the facts contained in the tale, you discover they’re not easily substantiated.

Tom Cruise has had his controversial moments, thanks to his outspoken belief in Scientology. Scientologists feel that homosexuality is an illness as there founder L. Ron Hubbard has described in his book Dianetics. Meanwhile, Tom has more than once had rumors flying around about his sexual orientation.

In my opinion, without knowing him personally of course, I tend to feel that chances are the dude is a straight as they come. The apparent chip on his shoulder may come from his diminutive stature and past issues with his virility. Any guy might be moronic about his manhood as a result.

Unfortunately, since Mr. Cruise has been at times rather defensive about his heterosexuality, many folks have implied that such insecurity must be signs of a deep dark gay secret life. I understand the schoolyard logic being used, but I’m not sure that defensiveness or even offensiveness means anything more than being fed up with being fodder for Hollywood’s closet case, rumor mill.

Anyway, taking his defensiveness for granted regardless of its true motivation, I wasn’t completely surprised to come across the following headline from a site called Celebrity Mound, “Tom Cruise Sues over Unauthorized Use of Image on Butt Plug.” (10/07/06)

However, if you check out the image of the supposed toy it seems someone’s been using Photoshop. Read the details after the title and although quite funny, they appear rather made-up once you try to find any related info.

I was unable to find a sex toy manufacturer named Holesome Fun. Neither was the Mission Insertable butt plug found for purchase anywhere. Alas, no crass ass toy for Tommy Boy, it seems perhaps the plug has been pulled from the butt of this joke maybe the gerbil inside Richard Gere’s ass.
