I have to say that perhaps I had always been a bit naïve about the Brits. So many jokes made to imply that the British were an uptight and prudish lot while all the while, they were it seems rather more risqué than the rest of us. Just take a look at all the many fetish sites out there with great bondage and spanking scenes, it’s obvious that maybe they’re not so sexually reserved but actually instead rather kinky and adventurous.

The latest tawdry tidbit from Britain does demonstrate that the whole of England isn’t so easygoing about sex. According to the Welwyn & Hatfield Times, Ryan Vincent and Natalee Bagstaff are two 19-year-old teens that were caught having sex in one of Hatfield’s oldest graveyards.

North Herts Magistrates’ Court heard last Tuesday that a woman living in house close by had caught sight of the sex act and called police. Prosecutor Jennie Laska-Hall said, “She looked out of her window on the first floor landing and saw at a distance of 40m a man and a woman having sex on the lawn of St Etheldreda’s Church yard.

“She described the male as being naked. Her husband then called the police.”

What makes it even better is that the lady’s hubby gave a description of the two to police and then followed them “at a safe distance” until they went into a video store. Shortly, later the young lad and lassie were arrested on April 19, 2005.

Since that time the man had tried to pass a check he stole from someone’s blank checkbook so his sentence was 12 months under supervision (similar to probation), 100 hours of community service and 100 GBP (approximately $185 US) to cover court costs and to undertake “Skills for Life” training.

The woman got off easier with 60 hours community service and only a 55 GBP ($101 US) fine for court costs. Therefore, as a previous story about another pair of Brits doing it on the street outside the pub has taught us, with a few pints, a large lot of libido and poor judgment, these folks seem ready to go at in anywhere.
