I find motels and hotels sexy as hell. It’s a change from the usual routine, and there’s something deliciously sleazy about being in a room you’re paying for and will likely never see again. My libido always soars when I open that door and see that cheap furniture and bland, featureless bed, and I immediately start thinking kink.

The problem is, I’m into BDSM, and while it’s always possible to carry some rope and chains when I travel, motels don’t have you a lot of places for tying up your sub. No hooks in the wall or ceiling (forget the hook for that swag lamp right now!) and the shower rod in the bathroom isn’t as sturdy as it looks. Trust me, I know.

Beds are a problem too. Usually the box spring is set right on the floor so there’s no frame to tie her to, and—trust me again on this—that headboard is not bolted to the wall as securely as you think. A couple of good tugs and down it comes, and the manager won’t be far behind.

If you want her standing with hands tied over head, though, I know a great trick. You use a closet door or the door to the bathroom. You tie a towel to one end of the rope, then pass the rope under the door, up the other side (the inside), and over the top and back out into the room. Close the door, and you’ve got a nice, secure place to tie her wrists over her head while you have your fun. The towel acts as a stop, and the door can easily support her weight. The rope won’t mar the door, and the whole set up comes down in seconds.

That’s important. You don’t want the maids getting ideas.
