Low Rise Jeans Fetish

I have to admit that I don’t really find low-rise jeans very sexy on most women. I’ve unfortunately witnessed to many chubby chicks who have mistakenly felt compelled to follow a trend that is perhaps best sustained by a rare few in my mind. Don’t worry, I don’t find it anymore appealing to see bare hipbones. Not at least the ones that look like you might slice your hand on them. Nevertheless, I know I’m alone in my opinion since there are tons of sites such as Low Rise Jean Fetish.

I should know I’m alone in my opinion when it comes to most of the world since my mother agrees with me. I just can’t handle seeing either a roll of fat hanging out over a waistband or conversely, that strange shiny striated effect of some super skinny chicks when their pelvic bone is protruding.

However, I can understand that at times the perfect culmination of slender but curvaceous woman does intersect with a pair of hip huggers. It can be sexy to see her thong peeking out, the tops of a little round butt cheeks and a peek of smooth flat stomach. The aforementioned site focuses mostly on these women who pull of the look with as much conviction as you’d like to be pulling their jeans right off.

Otherwise, with the wrong proportions, you get the female equivalent of plumber’s ass or again, if too skinny, it only further accentuates the lack of a backside. I do really sound like a grumpy old man. If it makes anyone feel better, I’ve been told that the way I wear my own pants makes me look like one too.

I think the dudes with their pants down to their knees look equally silly, so I prefer to be unfashionable as well as practical. I’m already accident-prone without having my leg movement hobbled by my Levis falling below my thighs.

Anyway, I just read a story in the New York Daily News (01/14/07) about an annual event that certainly puts the whole debate briefly on hold. More than 200 people decided to ride the rails of the NYC subway sans pants. I can imagine that it was one chilly ride and I don’t mean just the cool reception some prudish co-passengers must have given since it is wintertime after all.

“We’re all going to take our pants off and have a lot of fun,” said organizer Charlie Todd, 28, of the Improv Everywhere group. “It’s not against the law to wear your underwear!”

Personally, I think no pants are in some ways less suggestive than when someone is wearing pants that are coming half-off. I guess that’s why some many folks find low-riders so sexy. They always look as if they’re just seconds away from falling right off.
