Figging
It’s always a treat to come across a new kink, no matter how old it really might be, and so I was delighted to stumble into an article on the practice of “figging.” Figging involves inserting a peeled piece of ginger root into someone’s anus. Not something I would have thought up on my own, I can tell you, but apparently of some interest to the BDSM crowd, and maybe to oriental cooks as well.
We all know what ginger is—the same stuff they put in ginger bread and ginger snaps— but those of us who don’t cook with it might not know what it looks like. It’s the root of the ginger plant, and it’s available in the grocery in the form of a “hand”, a bunch of finger-like projections covered with a smooth brown skin. You separate one of these fingers, peel it and smooth it to make a kind of butt plug, and you’re all set.
And why should we want to shove a piece of ginger root up our partner’s ass? Well, ginger contains some natural oils that warm and stimulate the anus, and the warmth then spreads to the entire genital area. Not only does this excite the figgee, but it’s reputed to lead to more intense orgasms. Furthermore, the stimulating properties of the ginger are said to be a wonderful aphrodisiac. Reports have figged subs literally writhing around like cats in heat, begging for insertion. The effects only last for 15 minutes, and it’s apparently pretty safe.
Well and good, but if you can use ginger, can garlic, onions, and pepperoni far behind?
In any case, here’s a link to a nice review.
