Dance is often considered erotic and exotic, even the sometimes when it is meant to be only sensual, as in full of emotions and heart felt sensations, rather than sexuality. Some dudes might disagree with me, if they only envision the skinny chicks in tutus and men in crazily skintight tights. Some women might find those male costumes sexy, but plenty of fellows just can’t handle seeing some man’s crotch flitting around in his face. Those guys need to brace themselves for a new take on ballet, thanks to Sweet Ballerina.

Without all those man bulges getting in the way, or the boring strains of composers such as Tchaikovsky, you get to marvel at the true talents of some Russian prima donnas. That is to say that they will perform myriad poses showing the unbelievable flexibility of their slender feminine forms, sometimes in more everyday settings. For example, just check out one of the screenshots in the members’ area preview to see a young lady do the splits across the arms of an office chair.

She also manages to sit in the chair while lifting one leg straight up over her head in the air, while she holds a pencil and dictation pad in the other hand. Can you imagine if your personal assistant manages to do that while she took a letter? Personally, my back aches sometimes just from sitting down in the normal position all day at the office. Then again, they do say that you should stop what you’re doing and stretch from time to time. I’m just not convinced I do the splits, or touch my knee to my nose while seated.

Anyway, the content is all non-nude, but they do tend to dress the ladies in sexy outfits as well as at times the more traditional garb of ballet dancers. Most important is all the tricks they perform to show off their crazy ability to contort their legs, arms and waists. Nevertheless, Mistress Tracy is somewhat critical of the quality of the videos, saying that some of the girls’ movements are somewhat jerky and the music doesn’t match the choreography of their little shows.

Speaking of some choreography that might not seem to have complete female fluidity, I read a Reuters’ article (07/31/07) by Alexandra Hudson about a returning trend in the country of Turkey. Male belly dancing is experiencing a recent resurgence. In ancient times, young men performed belly dances for sultans, as women were locked away in harems separate from the sultans’ court.

Modern male belly dancers dress in loose fitting pants, bejeweled and tassel-bearing belts and stoles, as well as capes made of sheer fabric, which puts the aforementioned male ballet dancers’ costumes in perspective.
