Corseting
A Process of Body Modification
The holidays bring a ton of presents, and particularly among lovers gifts can encompass a lot of toys or fetish wear. One of the more common gifts to women is the corset and so I have been thinking of corseting lately.
Today, and for the most part, a corset is used in role-play to enhance BDSM scenes. It’s no secret that the corset can temporarily modify the figure of a woman by pushing up her breasts, flattening her stomach and creating a beautiful hourglass silhouette and it can look amazing.
Corseting has a history that dates back to pictorial drawings by Minoan cultures in 2000 BC. In the 16th century they became part of European female fashion and then fell out of popularity prior to the French Revolution only to make a comeback in the 20th century.
People who are seriously into the corset fetish are generally involved in body modification, which is the alteration of your physical appearance. Certainly, modifying one’s form isn’t uncommon considering all the breast implants and hair plugs that occur every year. While contemporary corsets rarely cause the body to be modified there are some individuals like , who has a 15-inch waist, and who has made a life out of body modification through corsetry.
Most of us simply love the corset, find it a turn on to look at, wear, or use as part of our BDSM scenes, but if body modification is a goal then I would suggest that just like with piercings or implants, there’s a certain amount of risk involved, so it’s always wise to arm yourself with as much information as you can.
In the meantime, enjoy all those toys and fetish wear you may have received this past holiday, including the corset.
