We asked Anna Rose: Many people just starting to explore BDSM feel nervous that whether they are the dominant or passive partner in the experience, things might inadvertently get out of hand. Have you ever been in a situation in which you felt you had somehow lost control?

Anna Rose answered: After many years of experimenting and learning about what I like and need in BDSM, there are the times when I am so caught up in the moment that I might ignore certain important things like for example my wrists can become numb from the long-term bondage position and I will ignore it because I’m so much into what is happening that I really don’t want it to stop. In these moments, I am happy to have my Master who knows me and protects me.

We asked Anna Rose: Do you think that moving to Europe changed your perspective in life or do think that even if you’d stayed in the US, you might have arrived at the same place in your personal development?

Anna Rose answered: I believe that by moving to The Netherlands at the age of 24 I am living a different life than I would have if I stayed in the USA. Is it better or worse? I don’t know. I hate to imagine things like that but I do know that I wouldn’t go back and change a single thing.
