Real chick's gags and bondage is what's in the dungeon at Shadow Play Imaging and judging from the tour I can at least guarantee that we're looking at an amateur-style site.
ShadowPlayImaging has won awards for their models and riggers, but I sure as hell can't see them taking the prize for site design. This was one of the most irritating members' page designs I've ever seen. Personally, I like design like I love my bondage, clean and artful. There are bonus links to plenty of upsells, streaming videos, a yahoo group and also to model detail pages.
The site has been around since 1998. Models are listed in alphabetical order, but when I click to find out more about any of the chicks there's nothing but a panel of four thumbnails and the models name. This is hardly what I'd call a 'details' page.
As I begin to look around, I realize that there are a lot of hidden charges. Okay, maybe not hidden when you become a member, but certainly if you want token gallery photos, any streaming films or full movie downloads they aren't free. So, this leaves me wondering what exactly does a membership include? Considering the design and navigation this wasn't easy to determine.
There are 60 videos, which you can download. However, they are all of very mediocre quality. We might as well be in the dark ages because this is the best description I can give in regards to technical quality. Visually, the image isn't all that bad, but it ain't great either.
The newest flick opens with a secretary-looking babe gagged and bound to a chair and struggling to get loose. Her effort goes on for five-minutes. Real exciting! I was impressed by the rigging, at least the lines and tension looked exciting, but the films need better quality to really get full pleasure.
There's an erotic story section devoted to bondage and BDSM fiction and there are 82 sets of photos. Again, action features damsels in distress. You can download Zip files and although the pictures could be better quality I liked the drama in some of the action, particularly in a set called 'Damsels in Peril' (735x556). Other sets are more candid and amateur with fake looking dungeon backdrops and poor lighting. However, the range of bondage materials was excellent. There are ropes, chains, belts and cuffs and there are standard and atypical bondage positions. There are around 35 pictures in a set, although the individual images appear to come from different shoots rather than simply one particular bondage session.
The rope work and bondage scenarios on Shadow Play Imaging may have impressed me, but very little else did. The site is like one big advertisement to purchase clips and movies and considering the quality of what I've seen so far, I wouldn't say that the promo is very enticing.
